About the Role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Outpatient Adult Infusion - O/P Treatment Area at Morris Cancer Center in New Brunswick campus. This is an Infusion RN position.

Qualifications

  • BSN
  • At least 1 year of Oncology RN experience required
  • ONS Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certification required or must obtain prior to start date
  • At least 1 year working as RN in an oncology setting administering chemotherapy
  • Must have knowledge and hands-on experience with chemotherapy regimens, safe handling, and infusion nursing practice

Preferred:

  • At least 2-3 years of Oncology RN experience preferred
  • OCN required or obtained within 1 year of hire
  • Outpatient oncology infusion RN experience strongly preferred

Certifications and Licenses

  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Schedule

  • Day Shift, 40 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, occasional Saturday (1 per month)
  • 7AM - 5:30PM & 1 late shift 9AM - 7:30PM per week
  • Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
  • Assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
  • Maintains a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team through communication and utilizing resource programs.
  • Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
  • Knowledgeable of the patient population served.
  • Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
  • Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address specific patient needs.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $47.85 - $71.72 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
