Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic Unit - St. Vincent Medical Center

About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care and teaching through the nursing process. The Registered Nurse directs and guides activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing, and the established policies and procedures of the organization. Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care and teaching through the nursing process
• Direct and guide activities of other nursing personnel
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and organizational policies
• Provide care to patients of all age groups
• Meet criteria established for specialty units (if assigned)

Requirements

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge and skill in nursing theory and practice of the nursing process

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college/university or institution
• Current Ohio RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Other certification required per department policy
• Orthopedic Unit experience preferred

Pay

Higher pay scales, sign-on incentives, preceptor pay, and rewarding higher differentials for working on the weekend.
