Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic Surgery

About the role

Position Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) Orthopedic Surgery Lead provides professional, individualized nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety, and discharge planning domains
• Develop and implement patient-specific care plans
• Evaluate nursing practices for quality improvement
• Participate in hourly rounding
• Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare staff
• Ensure safety and compliance with guidelines
• May assume shift leadership roles

Qualifications

• Hold a nursing degree from an accredited school
• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Relevant certifications such as CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP, or specialized training as required
• Preferred: BSN
• Preferred: at least one year of acute care experience
• Preferred: certifications in specialty areas
