Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic Spine - Days

About the role

This position involves providing specialized nursing care in an Orthopedic/Spine unit, focusing on assessments, diagnoses, care planning, implementation, and evaluation to meet patient needs across various conditions, including joint replacements, fractures, and cardiac cases.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & Reassessment: Systematically evaluate patient health, involving patients, families, and healthcare teams as appropriate.
• Nursing Diagnosis & Outcomes: Analyze assessments to determine diagnoses and set expected outcomes collaboratively.
• Care Implementation & Coordination: Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions to achieve patient goals.
• Evaluation: Use critical thinking to assess patient outcomes, recognize issues, and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Discharge Planning: Evaluate and coordinate discharge needs utilizing available resources.
• Professional Practice: Maintain high standards of nursing practice through ongoing evaluation and improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Associate’s Degree (ADN), with BSN or MSN preferred.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred; equivalent education and experience acceptable.
• Current Oklahoma RN license and BLS certification required, with ongoing re-certification.
• New graduates must complete a nurse residency program.
