Registered Nurse RN - Orthopedic -Neurology - Spine

About the Role

This is a Per Diem (PRN) position for a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg - Orthopedic, Neurology & Spine Unit at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. The schedule includes 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience (preferred).
• Ventilator Management experience (preferred).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $43.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
