Job Description

Pick up open nursing shifts at any Vista community in the Northeast Ohio region based on posted needs and your availability.
Provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect resident care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, prevention, and evaluation.
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician and perform other drug administration.
Direct the day-to-day activities of the nursing assistants and caregivers on shift.
Communicate changes in resident clinical condition with the physician, nursing supervisor, and family.
Complete required record keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
Maintain and update effective service plans and supervise the care staff at the assigned community.
Respond to resident and family concerns professionally and escalate to community leadership as appropriate.
Become familiar with the emergency equipment and procedures at each community you serve.
Attend required training, in-service, and staff meetings.

Requirements

  • Current State of Ohio license in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program - new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in long-term care, Assisted Living, or Memory Care preferred, not required.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to multiple communities.
  • Able to commit to a minimum number of shifts per month (discussed at interview).
  • Able to pass a background check and any pre-employment screening required by state regulation.
