Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room - Per Diem

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) provides specialized perioperative nursing care, manages daily unit operations, and supervises staff to ensure quality patient outcomes. This position involves direct patient care, staff management, budget oversight, policy enforcement, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Deliver individualized nursing care based on the nursing process, addressing physical, psychological, spiritual, social, and educational needs.Manage operational activities including staffing, scheduling, supply ordering, and budget monitoring; participate in strategic planning.Supervise, train, and evaluate staff, ensuring competency and performance standards are met; support staff development and team building.Participate in patient safety initiatives, incident reporting, and regulatory readiness; handle ethical issues and maintain confidentiality.Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations; contribute to departmental projects and committees. Qualifications & Skills Current Arizona RN license and CPR certification; ACLS, PALS, or NRP as required.Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience, with preferred management/supervisory background.Strong decision-making, accuracy, and independent judgment skills; proficient with personal computers.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
