REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - OPERATING ROOM

About the role

We perform surgeries in a variety of specialties such as Ortho, Spine, Gynecological, ENT, Plastics, Digestive, Bariatric, and General Surgery. Our surgery schedule generally runs Monday-Friday and call of our OR staff is minimal.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all surgical patients.
  • Assess for and anticipate the needs of surgeons.
  • Manage operating room suites in accordance with AORN guidelines in regards to patient safety.
  • Properly conduct documentation.
  • Highly provide quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Current licensure in the State of Idaho.
  • Active BLS and ACLS certification within six months of employment.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.
  • Previous PACU, ambulatory care, critical care or general nursing experience is preferred.
  • Awareness of professional nursing standards and performance in accordance with them.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license.
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience in OR settings.
  • Knowledge of AORN guidelines.
