Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Overview

A Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room at Lincoln Memorial Hospital will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care setting. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care, performing assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments with precision and adherence to physician orders.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Lead and coordinate care by supervising LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Identify and mitigate safety risks, ensuring a secure and supportive patient environment.
• Play an active role in quality improvement initiatives and the implementation of best practices.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Illinois required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within one year of hire.
• New graduates and experienced RNs welcome.
• Maintains appropriate clinical ladder levels based on experience and education.
