Position Highlights

The pay range for this position is $27.75 - $46.25 per hour. The position is eligible for a $3000 sign on bonus.

A Brief Overview

Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re-evaluating care objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Communicates the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health care team.
  • Coordinates with other healthcare providers.
  • Provides physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends.
  • Confers with physicians.

Develops Nursing Care Plans

  • Obtains medical histories.
  • Examines patients.
  • Documents patient physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors.
  • Confers with family and friends.
  • Develops a nursing diagnosis.
  • Establishes nursing care objectives.
  • Defines nursing interventions, schedules, and timetables.

Teaches Healthcare Requirements

  • Establishes patient care goals.
  • Instructs patient, family, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills.
  • Answers questions.
  • Provides information and resources.

Evaluates Patient Care

  • Adheres to therapeutic standards.
  • Makes measurements against patient care standards.
  • Reviews patient records.
  • Notes changing conditions and needs.
  • Re-evaluates care objectives.
  • Modifies nursing care plan.

Documents Patient Care Services

  • Charts in patient and department records.

Keeps Patient Care Equipment Operating

  • Follows operating instructions and established procedures.
  • Troubleshoots breakdowns.
  • Maintains supplies.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Calls for repairs.

Keeps Patient Care Supplies Ready

  • Anticipates needs.
  • Placing and expediting orders.
  • Verifying receipt.
  • Stocking items.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be able to work the hours specified.
  • Must have visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
  • Must be able to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Required Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing.
  • Active license in the state of practice.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

  • Previous Oncology experience.
