About the Role
Accountable for staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, and a leader in the area of support. Develops nursing expertise and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced-based clinical practice. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education, and leadership development.
Responsibilities
- Provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, and leader.
- Develops and identifies clinical prevention strategies in area of expertise.
- Supports the development of the nurse and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced-based clinical practice.
- Proactively participates in continuing education with a goal of enhancement of clinical practice.
- Serves as a resource in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical protocols and practice management guidelines essential to assure compliance with care standards.
- Collaborates with the director/manager to develop and implement an education and orientation plan in clinical area of focus.
- Coaches and provides feedback to staff regarding their nursing care.
- Delegates, supervises, and evaluates nursing care given by others while retaining accountability for the quality of care given to the patients and provides input to nursing leadership as necessary.
- Contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues, and others.
- Assists in compiling and presenting optimal care standards via case reviews of patients for internal and regional committees.

Qualifications
- Required:
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing: An active license in the state of practice (upon hire).
- 1-3 years of nursing experience.
- Preferred:
- Specialty Certification - Area of Nursing Practice - Certification Board (within 1 year).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $43.25 per hour, dependent upon experience.
