Registered Nurse (RN) - Observation Unit - Night Shift

About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced Med/Surg Observation Unit, managing conditions such as chest pain, syncope, heart failure, pneumonia, and diabetes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care and determine discharge needs. Supports professional practice through adherence to evidence-based standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess patient health status across various age groups and conditions
• Analyze assessments to establish nursing diagnoses and outcomes
• Implement and coordinate evidence-based nursing interventions
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly
• Assess discharge planning needs utilizing available resources

Requirements

• Diploma or ADN required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Previous hospital experience is advantageous
• Current Oklahoma RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with re-training during orientation and maintained throughout employment

Qualifications

New graduates must complete a nurse residency program.
