The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an ambulatory care setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.

About This Location

This role supports OB-GYN services for women’s health care needs across all life stages. Services include:

  • Preventive care (Pap smears, breast health exams)
  • Maternal and prenatal care
  • Birth control, contraceptives, and family planning
  • Diagnosis and treatment of women’s health conditions (menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, cysts, fibroids, breast cancer)

The team uses the latest technology and a compassionate approach to deliver high-quality, personalized care.

Responsibilities

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will:

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, and compassionate communication to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience is preferred.

Schedule

  • Mondays: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Brookfield
  • Tuesdays: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Brookfield
  • Wednesdays and Thursdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Mayfair
  • Fridays: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM at Brookfield

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, reaching above shoulders, and twisting.
  • Ability to lift and support up to 35 pounds (patients, medical equipment, and supplies).
  • Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with assistance.
  • Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch; fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures.
  • Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
  • Perform physical safety interventions (e.g., patient restraint, verbal de-escalation) if needed.
  • Potential exposure to chemical/hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases; protective clothing/equipment required.
  • Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  • Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
  • Additional department-specific physical requirements may apply.
