About the Role

Exceptional opportunity for a Registered Nurse to support our vision and serve as a compassionate and transforming healing presence in our community. The Nursing Resource Pool offers increased flexibility in scheduling while allowing you to float only at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea. Float Pool colleagues are treated as highly valued team members, with a focused orientation and training on equipment, processes, and procedures to ensure reliable support for our units and more manageable patient ratios.

In the Nursing Resource Pool, you could float to any of the following units:

• Atrium East (Med/Surg)
• Atrium West & Courtyard Rehab (Inpatient Rehabilitation)
• Courtyard East (Med/Surg)

The Registered Nurse provides quality patient-centered care considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serve as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shift)
• Status: Full time, benefit eligible (72 hours per pay period, every two weeks)
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday requirements

Requirements

• Current Michigan Nursing License
• One year of recent medical-surgical or higher acuity level nursing experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• New hires must have a BSN degree or agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
