JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

About the role

Northwest Hospital is currently looking for Nurse Residents/New Graduate Registered Nurses for various units including the Emergency Department (ED), ICU, ICU Step Down, Progressive Care (PCU), Stroke, Medical Surgical, and Orthopedic.

We offer Full Time Days or Full Time Nights available. The position is part of the Nurse Resident-New Grad Registered Nurse Program, which includes individualized new nurse orientations and internships across many specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care
  • Functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families
  • Participates in classes, presents cases, learns clinical skills, and gains confidence in their abilities
  • Works with clinical coaches and a life coach to navigate the clinical landscape and address work-life balance, stress, and other challenges

Requirements

  • Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, or RN Diploma with relevant experience
  • Less than 1 year of experience
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification

Qualifications

Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, or RN Diploma with relevant experience also accepted. Less than 1 year of experience.

Skills

Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, or RN Diploma with relevant experience also accepted. Less than 1 year of experience.
