Registered Nurse (RN) - New Graduate - Neonatal ICU

About the role

The Department 35156 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - BCH Pediatrics operates an Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) that provides the highest level of neonatal care for critically ill and premature infants. The unit is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals who collaborate seamlessly to deliver exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Maintains a safe environment by adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical decision-making.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
• Communicates effectively, provides feedback, and resolves conflicts to foster team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
• Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Maintains a safe environment by adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical decision-making.
• May be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay

$38.20 - $57.30 per hour

Schedule

Full Time Nights, 3 12 hour shifts per week 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Every 3rd weekend, plus holiday rotation
