About the role

Join our dynamic 12-bed inpatient and 2-bed outpatient Medical Oncology ICU—North Carolina’s only Medical Oncology ICU dedicated to adults with cancer and blood disorders. In this high-acuity, patient-centered environment, you will collaborate with board-certified intensivists, oncologists, and pharmacists to deliver advanced, compassionate care for the most complex cases. The unit features custom family amenities and seamless teamwork across oncology services, offering a culture of innovation, excellence, and meaningful patient impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to lead efforts that create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
• Communicate with compassion and skill to support healing, comfort, and quality of life for patients and families.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
