About the role
Join our dynamic 12-bed inpatient and 2-bed outpatient Medical Oncology ICU—North Carolina’s only Medical Oncology ICU dedicated to adults with cancer and blood disorders. In this high-acuity, patient-centered environment, you will collaborate with board-certified intensivists, oncologists, and pharmacists to deliver advanced, compassionate care for the most complex cases. The unit features custom family amenities and seamless teamwork across oncology services, offering specialized expertise in oncology and hematology within a culture of innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to support the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
- Communicate with compassion and skill while leading efforts to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
