Banner Baywood Medical Center has served the growing East Valley for more than 30 years and provides complete acute care services including cancer, stroke, women's health, rehabilitation, emergency medicine and surgery. The Banner Baywood Neuro Progressive Care Unit is a three‑wing, 74‑bed unit nationally certified as a Primary Stroke Unit by the Joint Commission. The unit cares for stroke, neuro, cardiac, medical and post‑surgical patients and is led by a physician medical director, a nurse coordinator and a multidisciplinary team. The unit offers an exciting opportunity to expand RN skills across many areas, with a warm culture focused on growth, mentoring and developmental success of the nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
- Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe.
- Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members.
- Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers.
