About the role
The 6th floor Neuro Specialty Progressive Care Unit at Banner Boswell Medical Center offers a unique environment for caring for Neurology, Stroke, and General Progressive Care patients. The unit utilizes advanced monitoring systems like Philips telemetry packs and Caregility equipment, which allows for real-time patient care management.
Responsibilities
- Care for Neurology, Stroke, and General Progressive Care patients
- Utilize Philips telemetry packs and Caregility equipment for real-time patient care management
- Work on a team with a strong, close-knit, and cohesive group
- Participate in the Progress-In-Place initiative, allowing patients to stay on the same unit regardless of their acuity level
- Offer care to both Medical Surgical and Progressive Care acuity patients on the same unit
Requirements
Requirements will be addressed by the recruiter. Please note that Banner Boswell Medical Center is currently seeking experienced PCU Nurses, but also considers nurses with Telemetry, ICU, Home Health, Skilled Nursing, Medical/Surgical, or any other acute or critical care background.
Qualifications
- Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice
- BLS certification is required
- Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably in the specialty area
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Professional certification preferred
Skills
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care
- Experience in assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
- Knowledge of specialized nursing practices and standards of professional nursing practice
- Ability to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and revise the plan of care based on patient needs
- Experience in delegating tasks and supervising the activities of the health care team
- Proficiency in using specialized monitoring systems like Philips telemetry packs and Caregility equipment

Pay
The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This position offers Part Time, night shift (7:00pm - 7:30am), and Part Time, day shift (7:00am - 7:30pm) with rotating weekends/holidays. Positions are filled on a rolling basis.
