Registered Nurse RN Neonatal ICU NICU

About the role

The level II Special Care Nursery at Banner Gateway Medical Center consists of an 16 bed Special Care Nursery with plans to move to a level IIIA in the coming years. Our highly skilled team includes experienced bedside registered nurses, Neonatologists, NNP, Respiratory Therapist, development specialist, therapists and IBCLC certified lactation consultants that care for the patient population.

Responsibilities

• Care for infants needing support in a level II nursery environment.
• Care for babies who are 32 weeks gestation and above.
• Transition babies from the well-baby area to the nursery.
• Floating to labor and delivery as a transition nurse in the delivery rooms.
• Utilize self-scheduling tool for 3 12-hour shifts.
• Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential.

Requirements

• Prior RN NICU experience.
• Full-time NIGHT position from 7:00PM to 7:30AM.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification.

Skills

• Specialized knowledge and judgment in neonatal care.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
