Job Overview At Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Registered Nurses become part of a 56 bed Level III NICU with an amazing team of knowledgeable nurses who provide care for very low birth weight and full-term infants. A strong multidisciplinary approach to QI, a strong family advisory council, and a very active unit-based practice council plus unit-based committees. The unit presents as a Team Daisy and Infection Control award recipient. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred. In addition to at least 1–2 years of NICU RN experience in an acute care setting and I.V. certification from an approved facility or completion of those requirements, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a full-time schedule on the day shift, 12.5-hour shifts at 37.5 working weekly hours, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
