About the role
This is an awesome PRN opportunity for an experienced nurse interested in Recovery Services. The role requires PACU, ICU or ER experience.
Responsibilities
- Nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
- Directs and leads other assigned team members
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care
- Provides patient/family centered care focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs
- Maintains a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment
- Demonstrates ability to function in a professional setting through active participation in a professional practice model
- Coordinates the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services
- Identifies clinical priorities and initiates action to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
- Associate's Degree and at least one year of work experience as a registered nurse required
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
- Experience as a RN in PACU, ICU or ER required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed
- Visual acuity and color perception
- Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues
- Stamina and resilience to handle physical and emotional demands
- Mobility to navigate clinical environments
- Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
