Registered Nurse, Recovery Room, PRN

About the Role

Provides clinical leadership and direct patient care in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care and adherence to safety, quality, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate care effectiveness, and update plans accordingly.
• Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
• Provide patient education, address learning needs, and promote understanding for better health outcomes.
• Document care accurately and advocate for patients' needs within regulatory and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and utilize performance data to enhance care delivery.
• Maintain professional licensure, competencies, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience or completion of a recognized nurse residency program.
• Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or applicable state licensing authority.
• Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

This role may require variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, in an inpatient recovery unit.
