Overview
Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a full‑time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mom & Baby population. The role includes a generous sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates who are successfully hired.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
- Full‑time schedule, 36 hours per week.
- Day shift 7 am – 7 pm.
- Shadowing may take place during the interview (3‑4 hours on site).
Pay
Base pay range for full‑time employment is $41.93 – $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation varies based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
Schedule
Full‑time; 36 hours per week. Day shift from 7 am to 7 pm (First shift). Work shift listed as “First (Days)”.

Sentara Leigh Hospital is a 274‑bed acute‑care facility that opened in 1903 and moved to its current location in 1977. The hospital underwent a renovation in 2016, adding two new patient towers, an atrium, and a multi‑story parking garage. It includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital, is an accredited Primary Stroke Center, a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, and offers specialties such as orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, maternity, and general surgery.
