About the role

The 8T Mother Baby Nursing Unit at Carolinas Medical Center offers comprehensive obstetrical care to females across the lifespan, serving a diverse, multicultural patient population. Inpatient care is provided 24 hours a day, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:3-4 couplets.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire
• At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred
