Registered Nurse (RN) Mental Health Unit-Closed Unit Full Time Nights

About the role

The Mental Health Closed Unit at Trinitas Regional Medical Center is a 27-bed facility offering short-term care for acute patients using a therapeutic and evidence-based approach. This position is located at the NEW POINT CAMPUS.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Affirms awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Maintains a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team.
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
• Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s needs.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• PREFERRED: Psychiatric-Mental Health, Med./Surg, Telemetry and/or ER nursing experience
• PREFERRED: Psychiatric-Mental Health certifications and/or national nursing certifications

Pay

$48.29 - $67.04 per hour

Schedule

Full Time Night Shift: 7p-7:30a Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
