About the role

This position provides direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. It involves performing general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizing care while maintaining patient dignity, autonomy, and rights. The role requires critical thinking, compassion, integrity, and empathy to deliver high-quality care and restore health whenever possible.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed with knowledge of their effects.
• Provide age-appropriate care and assist with basic self-care activities.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical/manual skills.
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planning.
• Practice cost-effective resource management.
• Prioritize patient safety and minimize harm.
• Engage in lifelong professional learning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure with BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS.
• Computer literacy is required.
