Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Current Michigan RN license.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 1 year.
  • 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
  • Telemetry experience preferred.

Schedule

PRN | 0.001 FTE or As Needed. 12-hour shifts, Primarily Days (7a-7p).
