About the Role
The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies, procedures and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age specific needs and determine age specific treatment modalities.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act.
- Implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies, procedures and performance improvement activities.
- Administer individualized age specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital.
- Achieve age specific treatment modalities by incorporating the principles of growth and development.
Requirements
- Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- Graduate from an accredited NLN School of Nursing
Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
The anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey is $47.85 - $67.04 per hour.
Schedule
Shift – 7:00pm – 7:00am Every other weekend required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs.
