Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements a patient focused nursing plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family.
  • Cares for patients in accordance with established best practices.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Maintains the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Contributes to and assists in maintaining a pleasant patient environment in a safe and orderly manner.

Requirements

  • A current Michigan RN license (or attain within 90 days of hire).
  • An associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Basic Life Support certification is required (available upon hire).
  • 1-Year Medical-Surgical Experience Preferred.
  • Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

12-hour shifts, Christmas Even Years plus Every 3rd Weekend.
