Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical-Surgical Acute Care/Post-Surgical/Burn/Bariatric - Full-Time Days

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team responsible for delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice in a clinical setting guided by evidence-based standards, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and the Code of Ethics, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Responsibilities Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—focusing on patient-centered, culturally sensitive care.Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.Coordinate and document safe, quality care while promoting teamwork, respectful environment, and performance improvement initiatives.Support professional development by completing required training, mentoring, and serving as a preceptor.Engage in evidence-based practice, research, and data collection to enhance patient outcomes.Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and participate in quality improvement projects. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor's Nursing degree preferred.Current RN license (single or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and technological skills.Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and respond to emergencies professionally.
