As a Registered Nurse within the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at RWJ University Hospital New Brunswick, you will help advance patient care and strengthen the experience of individuals and families across our organization. The Medical Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed specializing in providing critical care to patients with severe medical conditions such as care of patients with pulmonary disease, multiple organ system failure, autoimmune disorders, and cancer care. This includes providing high-quality, patient-centered care, monitoring complex cardiac conditions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire. CCRN and ACLS certification is preferred. Prior 3-4 years of RN experience within critical care is highly preferred and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a Part-Time Night Shift schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday – Friday with weekend and holiday rotations, 36 hours per week, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
