Registered Nurse RN Medical Imaging IR
About the Role
As a Medical Imaging IR RN at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, Arizona, you’ll provide compassionate, patient-centered care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures. Assess patient needs, coordinate care with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Educate and support patients and families while monitoring responses to treatment and maintaining accurate documentation. Responsibilities
- Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
- Review patient history and physical with patient/family and ensure completion within appropriate timeframe.
- Review diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and other caregivers.
- Formulate and implement a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on patient-specific needs and assessment data.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to revise the plan of care as needed.
- Provide direct patient care, delegate tasks, and supervise the activities of the healthcare team.
- Evaluate patient progress, response to care, and effectiveness of teaching, revising the plan of care accordingly.
- Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record.
- Participate in shared leadership, education, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors.
- Contribute to the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, valid RN license in Arizona, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure.
- BLS certification required.
- Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
- Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired.
- Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations.
- Banner Registry and Travel positions require a minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience within the past 12 months in the specialty area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Professional certification preferred.
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts. Part-time role with on-call availability after hours, rotating weekends, and holidays. Coverage at Banner Boswell Medical Center as needed.
