Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg - Per Diem

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) on 1 West unit. Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care, develop and evaluate care plans, monitor and document patient conditions, collaborate across disciplines, and educate patients and families. Delegate tasks to ancillary staff and may precept students and new hires. Qualifications: Valid Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain it. New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply. Skills: Strong assessment, communication, teamwork, and delegation skills. Ability to work independently and within a team in a high-acuity setting. Key Duties: Deliver specialized care for cardiac, stroke, and higher-acuity patients in a 36-bed unit, working three 12-hour night shifts per week, including weekends and holidays. Maintain compliance with policies and standards to optimize patient outcomes.
