Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Clinical Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Surgical Supervisor to lead nursing staff in a hospital setting. Lead and supervise nursing staff on a Medical Surgical unit during night shifts. Ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with hospital standards. Provide leadership, mentorship, and operational management. Qualifications include RN licensure, relevant hospital experience, and BLS certification. Preferred candidates have management experience and additional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate nursing operations on the Medical Surgical unit during night shifts.
• Ensure quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff.
• Manage staff schedules, workflows, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience, preferably in acute care.
• Required BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Preferred BSN, additional licensure or certifications, and management experience.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform nursing duties requiring bending, kneeling, and reaching.
