About the role
We are seeking a Medical Surgical Supervisor to lead nursing staff in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and coordinating nursing activities within the medical-surgical unit
- Ensuring quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards
- Supporting staff development and managing daily operations
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure
- 3-5 years hospital nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with completion within 30 days if not already held
Preferred Skills and Experience
- BSN degree
- Additional state licensure or specialty certifications
- Prior management experience and change management skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Capability to perform various physical movements necessary for nursing duties
