About the role
Position Overview: The Lead Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg provides clinical leadership and oversight to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care within physician practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical practice, promote safety, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and ethical guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison between frontline staff and operational leadership.
- Engage patients and healthcare teams to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and patient rights.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least one year of experience in acute or ambulatory care.
- Current NY State RN license and BLS certification.
- Preferred: supervisory or management experience, national certification, Clinical Ladder Nurse Level III.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced office setting with exposure to equipment cleaning solutions.
- Requires mobility, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
- Adherence to infection control guidelines with PPE.
- Serves patients of all age groups.
