Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg - $30-42 per hour

About the role

Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’ competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (minimum); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: No minimum required; two years of acute care experience preferred, with previous clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry, or ICU.
• Certifications/Licensure: Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Required courses/completions:
  • Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
  • AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (Adult Critical Care, Telemetry, Interim Critical Care Units); should be completed before the end of the orientation period.
  • AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (Pediatric ICU); should be completed before the end of the orientation period.
  • AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (NICU).
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU‑Level 2 Nursery: proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer date (renewal not required).
