About the role
This leadership role supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in overseeing all nursing and patient care services within a hospital.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practices at the unit level.
- Assume 24/7 accountability for Same Day Surgery and PACU.
- Ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
- Maintain clinical staff competency and manage resources effectively.
- Provide leadership and support to senior management.
- Perform related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting.
- Effective communication, leadership, and operational skills.
- Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for nursing.
Qualifications
- Academic degree in nursing; Bachelor's or Master's preferred.
