Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the surgery department, including staffing, scheduling, and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal guidelines.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership and support to the surgical nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain open communication with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring of new staff members.
- Handle any patient or staff concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in surgical procedures and technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Current RN license in the state of New Hampshire
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a surgical setting
- Previous management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Passion for providing exceptional patient care
