Registered Nurse (RN) - Manager, OB/GYN - $30-42 per hour

About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) Manager, OB/GYN position at Baptist Health System in San Antonio, Texas. Ongoing staff position, may qualify for a sign‑on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assists the departmental leader in managing and directing activities for the provision of care.
• Provides direct professional care to patients in assigned area of responsibility (newborn to geriatric) following established standards and practices.
• Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of Baptist Health System.
• Works collaboratively with patients’ families, visitors, nursing personnel, physicians, staff of other departments, and volunteer services.
• Serves as the departmental on‑site manager for daily operations.
• Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: Minimum three years in acute care.
• Licensure: Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Required training: Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Required training: ACLS/TNCC, PALS/ENPC, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (to be completed within the timeframe specified in the RN job description for the unit/department or specialty).

Qualifications

• Preferred education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
