Registered Nurse (RN) Manager
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager ensures coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy, goals, and objectives. This position contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational, and Performance & Improvement efforts while providing supervision to nursing staff.
- Implement unit policies and procedures and act as a resource to staff.
- Ensure all staff members deliver care in accordance with Standards of Care and Practice.
- Ensure consistent implementation of Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies on the unit.
- Provide supervision and direction to nursing staff in alignment with Nursing Department goals and conduct disciplinary actions where indicated.
- Coordinate, maintain, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by Nursing Services.
- Assist in developing a plan of care with specific, measurable goals and interventions tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Provide structure and maintain a therapeutic environment in collaboration with patients and other healthcare providers.
- Supervise nursing staff and serve as a resource for hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
- Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
- CPR certification and successful completion of CPI training within 30 days of employment (required prior to assisting in restraining procedures).

Pay
Full-time role with an expected compensation range of $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually. Consideration will be given based on experience and skill level.
