Work Schedule

  • Day Shift: Monday–Friday
  • 72 hours per two weeks (Full-Time)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care under the direction and supervision of the provider, delivering safe and effective patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Active license with the applicable Board of Nursing required upon hire
  • Medical Assistant: One of the following is required: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National Healthcareer Association (NHA) with MA diploma, CCMA (NHA) with one year of experience, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Medical Technologists (AMT)

Responsibilities

  • Performs general nursing care to patients.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Captures and documents patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider.
  • Coordinates the patient care activities for the clinic.
  • Prepares equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
  • Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider.
  • Maintains timely flow of patients.
  • Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination.
  • Screens patients for appropriate information including obtaining the health history, taking vitals, and conducting a nursing assessment.
  • Documents obtained information in patient chart.
  • Instructs patient in collection of samples and tests.
  • Responds to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician.
  • Educates patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
  • Suggests solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.
  • Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials.
  • Ensures cleanliness.
  • Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
  • Affirms appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol as needed.
  • Performs quality control and maintains records on all lab testing.

Essential Qualifications

  • The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
