About the role

The RN or LPN will work 8 hours per day on a Day shift (6:00a - 2:30p), with a set schedule of every other weekend and a holiday rotation. The shift differential is $2 more per hour on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assesses residents' health status and needs through physical assessments, observations, and interviews on a continuing basis.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates residents' individualized plans of care. Updates and makes appropriate changes in plans of care whenever necessary.
• Administers medications and treatments and monitors each for effectiveness.
• Provides direct nursing care to residents whenever necessary according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
• Documents in the residents’ records according to established resident care policies, procedures, and standards.
• Provides effective leadership to subordinate staff, which may include disciplinary measures.
• Ensures that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established nursing policies, procedures and standards.
• Communicates the needs of the residents to all resident care staff on the unit.
• Interacts with physicians and advanced practitioners and health care facilities as needed, according to the needs of the residents.
• Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
• Aids in resident care conferences.
• Aids in the orientation/training of new team members.
• Encourages and assists residents to attain their highest physical, mental, psychosocial well-being.
• Reports any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect or violation of resident's rights per policy.
• Complies with rules and regulations as set forth by the Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
• Manages their individual electronic timecard on a daily basis.

Requirements

An active ND RN/LPN License or ability to obtain one upon hire is required. Long Term Care experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Competitive pay range of $36 - $40.32 for RN/ $29 - $32.48 for LPNs per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
