Registered Nurse (RN) / Labor & Delivery

Job Summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) / Labor & Delivery for a contract position in Carlsbad, NM.

About the Role

The RN will provide care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. This includes managing the triage, active labor, postpartum (mom and baby), and special care nursery babies, nursery phases.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures.
• Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available.
• Provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Requirements

• 2+ years of L&D experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE certifications.

Skills

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
