About the role

We are a high-risk Level III Perinatal Unit in a northside Chicago neighborhood. We provide exceptional care in a team-focused, collaborative environment. Nurses develop strong clinical skills by caring for premature infants, high-risk pregnancies, and complex medical cases that require critical thinking and teamwork. They work closely with obstetrician, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals, creating valuable experience in a fast-paced interdisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • One year or more of Labor and Delivery and/or Postpartum experience is strongly preferred
