Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery (L&D) - Nights
Position Summary
The Labor and Delivery Unit at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, Orlando, FL, provides comprehensive obstetrical nursing care for both low and high-risk families during the antenatal, labor, and postpartum periods. The unit is composed of twenty-eight (28) Labor and Delivery Rooms (LDRs), offering expectant families the opportunity to remain together during these critical times.

Responsibilities
- Care for mothers in active labor with expected delivery, including those with epidurals
- Provide inductions of labor
- Offer immediate postpartum recovery care
- Administer immediate newborn care after delivery
- Assist with complications of pregnancy requiring inpatient and outpatient evaluations
- Provide emotional and physical care for patients requiring medical termination of pregnancy post-fetal demise
- Support 24-hour anesthesia service for pain management in labor and anesthesia management during cesarean births
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Maintain current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas
- At least one (1) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in L&D or OB/GYN
Qualifications
- Current Orlando Health RNs with 1 year of experience in any inpatient specialty (ie. Med-surg, mbu, neuro, cardio, OR, etc.)
