Registered Nurse (RN) - Internal Medicine
About the Role
Internal medicine doctors, also called internists, provide comprehensive care for young adults through seniors. Internists see only adults and diagnose, treat and help prevent a wide range of conditions, illnesses and injuries. They have special skills and experience in managing care for people who have a complex combination of health conditions.
This role is part of Aurora Medical Group (AMG), a division of Advocate Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems. With more than 350 locations across Illinois and Wisconsin, AMG offers a wide range of specialties and services, including primary care, medical and surgical care, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, and more. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and improving health outcomes in the communities we serve.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills of communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
