Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Surgical – Night Shift

About the role

This position is for registered nurses providing direct patient care in a surgical care unit, supporting patients undergoing general surgery, orthopedic, pediatric, and medical observation. It welcomes both new graduates and experienced RNs, offering a collaborative, community-based environment with opportunities for professional growth. Open to both new and experienced nurses. The role involves working in a safety-sensitive environment requiring alertness and safety focus, and supports a culture of recognition, connection, and well-being through various programs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within nursing standards.
• Promote patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs using critical nursing skills, respecting patient preferences and barriers.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• RN license required; no supervisory experience necessary.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing with at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.
